First off, I am in no way trying to make it sound like one of those vigilante citizens or Illuminati analyses of the Marry the Night video. I just happen to find something really interesting concerning the imagery in the Marry the Night video and material on Born This Way in relation to a cult back in 1997 called Heaven’s Gate. I’m not trying to say this is exactly what it is, but I think it’s pretty interesting.
Heaven’s Gate was an American UFO religion based in San Diego, California, founded and led by Marshall Applewhite (1931–1997) and Bonnie Nettles (1928–1985). On March 26, 1997, police discovered the bodies of 39 members of the group who had committed suicide in order to reach an alien space craft which they believed was following the Comet Hale-Bopp, which was at its brightest.

The first thing I noticed was how eerily similar their logo was to the last few seconds of the Marry the Night video. Sure, it could be a coincidence that the logo and Gaga share somewhat of a similar shape, but both pictures totally have the whole motion blur thing going on.
The Heaven’s Gate members believed that their “human” bodies were only vessels meant to help them on their journey. In conversation, when referring to a person or a person’s body, they routinely used the word “vehicle”; when shown a picture of his son in an interview, Rio Di Angelo commented, “Look, there’s the little vehicle.” You know where this is going.

“The vision is of me in an endless journey. I am a vehicle. I am a vehicle for all of the ideas. And I’m not riding away or towards anything, I’m just in endless state of creativity.”
—Lady Gaga to E! News
I think the last thing that really caught my attention was this excerpt:
The group also had a variety of names - Prior to the adoption of the name Heaven’s Gate (and at the time Vallée studied the group), it was known as Human Individual Metamorphosis (HIM). The group re-invented and re-named itself several times and had a variety of recruitment methods.
“It doesn’t matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M.”
Anyway, that’s most of it. I don’t really know what to think of it all. But I did find it kinda funny, so I decided to share it with everyone. If anyone wants to know more information about the Heaven’s Gate group, you can check out Wikipedia or their website, which hasn’t been updated since December 1996
